To the painter Ernst Oppler regarding the upcoming Berliner Secession exhibition 1919 – 1920 1919

Lovis Corinth

* 1858 in Tapiau † 1925 in Zandervoort

Autograph letter. 8vo. 2 pages.

Signed and dated Berlin 20 Sept 1919. Including envelope addressed to Ernst Oppler.

(On Thursday we had another board meeting, but it was very sparsely attended because so many are still on vacation. One of the items on the agenda was the decision to schedule the exhibit for mid-November; the 15th is the most suitable date. I also explained - as I have written to you previously - that I will be traveling to the Bavarian Alps again in late September, namely two Mondays from now. Since Mr. von König from Berlin will also be out of town for the time being, I named our colleague Philipp Franck temporary chair, and I would ask you, in case anything happens, to get in touch with him. The finances of the Lehrter train station are miserable. With my best wishes and kind regards, As always, Lovis Corinth PS For Thoma's 80th birthday, pictures have been organised.)

Including a copy of the Berliner Secession catalogue 1919 - 1920 of the upcoming exhibition discussed between Oppler and Corinth.
