Interest of the portfolio format and its growing success as a singular way for collectors to acquire work by contemporary artists encouraged many printmakers and indepedent presses to develop projects of this type. Organized as a celebration of Irwin Hollander's collaboration with American artists working in the medium of lithography, the portfolio 9 is a compendium of images by nine of Hollander's artist collaborators.
