Ludovic-Napoléon Lepic was a French nobleman, painter, printmaker and archaeologist. He was one of the founders – with Degas, Morisot, Monet, Renoir, Cézanne and Pissaro – of the association that organised the first Impressionist exhibition of 1874. He was a close friend of Degas who represented him and his family in a number of paintings and pastels.
