„Chère Ciska, Vu le Docteur Palazzoli 108 rue du Bac S’il n y a rien de nouveau, va le voir. Il te recevra tous les jours de 12 1/2 à 3h. — Au retour de Berlin on ira le voir ensemble. T’embrasse. F Leger“

Have seen the doctor, if there is nothing new, go to see him. He will receive you every day from 12 1/2 to 3 h. Back from Berlin we will go together. — Drawing of a little train from Berlin to Paris.

Léger was exhibiting frequently in Berlin with Herwarth Walden in his Galerie Der Sturm and he was also represented by Alfred Flechtheim.

Palazzoli seems to be a head-doctor who was consulted by the French artistic circle of the time. French writer Guillaume Apollinaire (1880-1918) consulted him at the Italian hospital at Quai d'Orsay in Paris for a head wound during the WWI. It is not known why Fernand Léger would recommend him to Ciska.
