“I left the woods” is an extract from the conclusion of “Walden” by Henry David Thoreau written in 1854.
The text is accompanied by 4 mezzotints by Judith Rothchild who also created the linocuts for the embossments, cover and slipcase.
The edition of twenty-four is printed on Hahnemühle paper in the form of a leporello.
Size: 26,6 x 27,9 cm.
The hand set letterpress in Garamont 16 pt, was composed and printed by Mark Lintott who also created the boxes and slipcases.
The deluxe edition, numbers 1/24 to 4/24, are presented in clamshell boxes and contain one of the original copper plates. The numbers 5/24 to 24/24 are presented in slipcases. The four mezzotints are also printed together in an edition of fifteen.
