Two impressions in two different states after a painting by Johann Michael Lichtenreuther of the portrait of the artist's father, Gabriel Bodenehr the Elder (1673-1766). The first mezzotint was executed during the sitter's lifetime (in 1737), the second one is a re-worked state of the same mezzotint after the death of the sitter (in 1765).
