On early 19th century mount with a tissue guard. With collector’s blind stamp. Inscribed on the mount “Chipart del.” lower left. Verso signed by the artist (?).

Written biographical sources about Chipart are scarce. It is however known that he sporadically worked as a painter of theatrical scenery at the Royal Danish Theatre, Copenhagen between c.1794-1825.
