On early 19th century mount with the collector’s blind stamp. Inscribed on the mount “Chipart.del.” lower left.

Written biographical sources about Chipart are scarce. It is however known that he sporadically worked as a painter of theatrical scenery at the Royal Danish Theatre, Copenhagen between c.1794-1825.
